The Tidewater Children’s Foundation was incorporated in 1976 as a result of the merger of three organizations with long-standing charitable histories: The Edgewater Home for Girls founded in 1804, The Turney Home for Boys of Norfolk founded in 1887, and the Florence Crittendon Home founded in 1894.
